In 2010, Industrial CU earned its Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) certification. The U.S. Treasury gives this designation to financial institutions that have a primary mission of community development. Funding for CDFI may now be in jeopardy, and the Coalition of Community Development Financial Institutions is asking for help.

Industrial Credit Union’s Feed the Need efforts set a new record this year, collecting over $215,000 for Whatcom County food banks.

Industrial Credit Union’s 4th Annual Food Truck Round Up hit record-breaking totals last weekend – with a total donation exceeding $55,000.

Industrial Credit Union hosted a free Shred Event last weekend to allow community members the opportunity to securely discard of documents with personal or sensitive information. Whatcom County residents brought over 5 tons of paper to be shredded on-site by A-1 Shredding.

Industrial Credit Union is proud to support Meridian High School’s Future Farmers of America (FFA) F.A.R.M. for Kids Program this year. They presented the donation during the National FFA Week celebration at Meridian High School.
